KIDS AND MOMS NEEDED Moms of Monterey, The Marina Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers for several taskforces to help the community. One of them is making sure we are keeping our essential workers' spirits up! 911 operators, child support workers, public assistance eligibility call center workers, IT workers, home health aide workers, so many people who are continuing to perform ‘invisible’ jobs that are absolutely essential. So many of these are low-paid workers who are scared and literally exposing themselves and their families everyday in order to serve. Since you have the kids at home with you, how about doing something awesome for our workers and keeping the kids engaged: write thank you letters and drawings to our workers that the Marina Chamber will make sure to send over to our different essential organizations! It's a great way to teach your kids about kindness, empathy and being grateful! I will be taking letters and drawings for distribution on Monday or Tuesday - I would appreciate if you could drop off each thank you letter or note in an individual envelope at City Hall in Marina (use the mail slot). You may absolutely write 2-3-4-5-10 letters! - this from friend and marina chamber pres. Elizabeth Plante
