Many animals need homes.

Covid-19 has disrupted operations for numerous animal welfare and shelter groups.

There are several wonderful animal rescue and welfare groups in the Monterey area and many of them need foster parents and pet adoptions. Dogs, cats and other animals don't stop needing homes due to the crisis, and if you've been looking into adopting or fostering now may be a good time. If you are interested in working with the Monterey SPCA they have a great page you can view HERE which lists there needs for foster parents, food donations and more, as well as there current services. Another great organization is the Animal Friends Rescue Project while at the moment all of their animals are currently in good foster homes they still have occasional dogs and cats coming in. Personally I adopted my dog from Peace of Mind Dog Rescue and while they haven't posted anything related to Covid-19 they specialize in elder dogs and elder people, and it's quite likely that they will have many dogs in the near future that will need homes.
